Robertson Witmer and Margaret Savas began working together at the 1991 Pacific Puppetry Institute. They have toured extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest with Tears of Joy Theater and Tales of the Caribbean. Rob and Margaret recently began working for Spyglass Theater, performing and giving puppet making workshops for schools and festivals.

Bertschi School Summer Exploration

GRADES K-6 | 9:00-12:00 June 25-29, July 2-6, July 9-13
Instructor: Margaret Savas, Spyglass Theater
Bring the most fantastical creations you can imagine to life! Students will build colorful, articulated shadow puppets based on their own drawings. Then they will learn about puppet manipulation, puppet voices, special effect techniques, and sound effects. The class will culminate with a puppet show that the class has created together. Puppets created in this class are the student's to keep.
